Busy but chill weekend
This past weekend was filled with people. Friday after work I came home and helped Kevin and jessekat finish up the house (they cleaned so hard) and we had dinner. Then guests started arriving for the combo welcome Benjamin housewarming and belated birthday. Some people brought me awesome dark chocolate - I now have TONS. Thank you so much - yummmmmmmmm!
About 25 people in total, and it was the chillest party we've had. Only 3 people were naked. Only about 4 people played in the office, and only briefly. Just a few bottles of wine and some liquor was consumed. Lots of cookies and chips we gnoshed on. And there was lots of silly talking and laughing and hanging out. It was really nice.
Party ended around 3 a.m. with one friend crashing on the couch. On Saturday I got up for an appointment, home by 12:15. Kevin had made brunch for Benjamin and the two friends still at the house. Then we took Pink Buhnny to Ra's. Played a quick game of RockBand for the first time (well, second time but the first doesn't count because I couldn't hear anything.) It was silly - Kevin rocked at singing. I got 77% on guitar - lowest score of the "band."
Then we ran into the city for a quick errand, back home for chilling on the couch with Benjamin and his long-time friend Jess. Around 5ish we went to Thea's to hang with Edan and Thea's mom Martha. She made us dinner and we stayed until 9. Home and in bed by 10:30 - tired!
Sunday we slept in - yay - then got ready for the waxing party. Smokey arrived around noon, followed by Mike. Then Strawberry arrived, and Robin came over to get her eyelashes tinted. Then we all watched Strawberry wax Kevin (I helped a little). Anne and Costello came and we had snacks, then Anne got waxed and Kevin headed to Ra's and a dinner thing. Benjamin arrived home giddy and lovestruck, then Luscious arrived. She got waxed, Kevin came home and we had dinner. Then I got waxed and Dave arrived and we fed Luscious and Dave. Everyone headed home around 11.
Phew. So lots of time at home, but with lots of company. An awesome weekend, all total. Thanks to everyone who was a part of it. And to those I didn't see who might read this - hope I see you soon!
