Suspension of Disbelief Can Only Take You So Far

You know what I hate in movies? When they show a high school chemistry class, and they show them doing ridiculous experiments which essentially amount to putting random chemicals into a jar and then mixing them. The teacher is walking around, nodding his head approvingly, but where are the students' lab notebooks? Are they taking any measurements? Never. All they do is pour various colored chemicals into graduated cylinders at random until the scene is over. Is it just me, or is that setting an unrealistic- and possibly dangerous- view of high school for young children?

On a different point entirely:

The Kleptones are a really weird musical project which involves Grey Album-ish beat-matching. They do it with Queen and several rap-artists on their album "A Night at the Hip Hopera". It's not great, but it's worth a listen.

Otherwise, weekend, matt bergen's band playing tonight. Should be a good time.
