St. Louis!

Well I have finally arrived back to cold and frozen, winter infested New York state, after being in Missouri for the past week! I attended the National Post-Secondary Agricultural Students Convention, where I competed in four competitions and placed in three. I was disapointed that I was not a National Champion however, knowing that I could have done better. I got awards for National 3rd Place winner in Agri Sales Employment Interview, National 3rd Place Team in Overall Livestock Specialty area & national Award of Merit in Career Progress for Animal Production (in the most competitive area by numbers).

In addition to competition we were able to get out and tour Missouri, I always looke forward to convention becuase of the indsutry tours, I missed that this year however, going to the St. Louis Zoo, the St. Louis 3rd Cuircut Court house(where the Dred Scott court case started) and the National Opening ceremony was held at the National Monument...... something we all know as the ARCH!!!!!!! Mr. and Mrs. Hughes took us to the top of the Millenium Hotel for dinner last night for a 4 star dining experience that was absolutely amazing. They are amazing!

I decided that I was going to dedicate myself to running for national office, and trying to get the two year term of President Elect and National President at the next national convention! I am dedicated, and I believe that I am at the right place to take this step.

I am sad that I am back at Cobleskill, and really need to get myself re-energized for the coming weeks. I have tests galore, and I still have a goal of a 4.0 this semester.

... and life goes on
