Oh, this was so sad. Reading housefic, it's so easy to forget about Foreman, and what he's going through. Beautiful POV piece.

Foreman doesn't come up much, does he? I'd never written him before this, and it was interesting to get inside his head a little.

I liked that a lot. It was painful but in a very adult, mature, bittersweet way. Poor guy - that was a really lovely one-shot.

This is gorgeous, honest, and true to a complex and deep character. I loved the fleeting reoccurance of the red backpack at the end of the story: Foreman is simultaneously the professional man of the present and an ineffectual little boy in the face of his mother's gruesome illness.

Thank you. For everything he's been though, he's still her son, and I wanted to keep that parallel in some quiet way.

Lovely. The setting is well crafted and the characterization is exquisite. Poor neglected Foreman.

Thanks! It was nice to explore someone different, who feels a bit unplumbed on the show.
