(no subject)
I'm just about to leave Portfolio, because Julie is almost off work. Today I didn't have to work and therefore I did pretty much nothing! Okay, I did walk down to the post office and did a couple of errands, but otherwise, nothing big. Later I took the bus down to Portfolio. There was an unusual and particularly annoying group of bus-women on my trip today. You can probably get the gist of these women by a simple description: middle-aged, city college student, carrying enormous backpack, wearing a sweatshirt with a picture of a teddy bear and the words "Hug Me". Are you with me? Anyways, there were about four of them, all talking loudly (one with a noticeably shrill and unignorable voice) about some really boring stuff, ranging from their "buddy lists" to the unfortunate lack of participants in the "clean chatroom" to the distance (in order from nearest to furthest) of the planets to the sun. Yes, I'm totally serious. It was a long bus ride.
I'm off tomorrow too, and I have big plans which include gardening (our tomato plants have flowers! yay!), and possibly cooking (time for makin' seitan?) and probably knitting. This is just too much fun for one update. Time to go home and attempt to cook something yummy for dinner. I'm going to make spanish rice that doesn't come from a box a from Trader Joe's. Wish me luck!
