Random spoilery thoughts about the last Hobbit film:
Based on a behind-the-scenes video I've seen and of course given the plot of DoS, I wonder if Bofur, Kili, Fili and Oin won't be able to fight in the Battle of Five Armies because they're stuck in Laketown.
I am not a Tolkien fan, but I am NOT okay with this. I'm just not. I hope they can make their way back to the
Also, I really don't want the whole 'Kili and Tauriel sacrificing themselves for each other in battle' thing; I'm sorry, I just can't get on board with their romance, not properly, anyway. I can 'see' that it's sweet, but I also feel it's a little too forced and I can't ship it. As I've said before, it's natural that Kili would get a crush on someone like Tauriel and she would probably respond in some way; she's kind and feisty. I just didn't want romance in these films; hypocritical, I know, because I like reading romance in the fandom, between a particular few. But I would have been happy with just strong friendships in the film, seeing the dwarves work together and just letting the fanfic speak for itself.
