Right, application sent off, meltdown over. Big yay.
On the way home today, I stopped to look in the window of a jewellery shop that's just five minutes away from where I live. It's been there for years and I've often liked to stop and admire the jewellery; pick out my ideal engagement ring, that sort of thing. :)
Today, I saw the loveliest thing: a hedgehog necklace. A tiny little golden hedgehog with absolutely gorgeous and intricate detail, from the nose to the spikes, on a chain. Besides it being blatantly obvious where my little fangirl mind went, I don't think I've ever wanted anything so badly, but it's really expensive and even I'm not that stupid. In the world of fanfic, however... ;) (Sherlock can always borrow/steal the money from Mycroft, although stealing's more likely).
On the way I home I wondered, randomly, if they had an otter one as well. :) Of course I did.
I've been on a real Being Human kick the past week or so. I don't know if it's just finally getting a little crush on Aidan Turner after four years of being utterly resistant to his charms - and even now that crush is waning after I've indulged on the first three series again. It was nice, though. I hadn't seen the show for some time, it had been ages since I saw Series 1, so I had a good old catch-up, a nice nostalgic romp. I'm in two minds about Series 4 and 5 and getting them on DVD; I mean, Series 4 had kick-arse Annie and Vampire Mark Gatiss, so I'll probably ask for it for my birthday, plus, I like the interaction between Hal and Tom.
Series 5, on the other hand... I can't say I was overly keen on the ending and I haven't seen the bulk of it anyway. The whole plot of S5 seems a bit too much for me, just because it's so vast and the show always kept the storylines relatively simple. And of course, all the original cast have gone, even though I do like Tom, Hal and Alex. It's a case of should I bite the bullet and complete the collection? Hm. Maybe I'll come back to that.
