The 21st brought out some very interesting people in Central Park. I had almost forgotten about the summer solstice celebration until I was walking home from a crappy alumni event.

It was also J's birthday. I am sad to not be there this weekend, but he is planning on being here for an extended visit over the 4th of July, so I do have that to look forward to.

Steps taken towards adulthood: Signed up for the GRE. Now I am studying in earnest. Really, I have to love a project or it isn't going to get done if I don't have a firm deadline. So, in August I will hopefully not suck at it.

Yesterday I had lunch with Abby, as she is now living in NYC post-graduation. Falafel is so tasty. The restaurant up here by Columbia is slightly more expensive than the ones in the Village, but to be honest, it tasted a lot better.

In my quest to be less broke, I signed up to audition to teach with the Princeton Review. So the audition was last night and I had been give ZERO information beyond "teach something for 3 minutes." Super. I show up, all ready to teach imagery and find out it is more about teaching silly topics like "How to Eat a Soup Dumpling." So, I altered my plan and taught "How to Appreciate the Polar Bears at the Central Park Zoo." I could have never have done it if I hadn't heard J's stories about working there. But it was fun and I was self-deprecatingly funny (well, I assume since people did laugh).

OH! Big news--in September I am going to see one Melissa Reynolds in Seattle!! I am very excited :)
