Doctor Who Love Post
I have nothing intelligent to say (no change there), I just feel the need to squee over my love of Series Five.
I don't think that Doctor Who can get any better than it is right now. I know there are the haters, but this whole series has been absolutely magical to me. I love Matt Smith's Doctor far more than I ever thought possible, he's such a perfect combination of past Doctors, but with his own quirky little twist. As much as I loved Ten, Eleven is such a refreshing change, with his strangeness and gadgets. He's exactly what the Doctor should be, in my mind.
Amy is quickly becoming one of my favorite companions ever; I love that she's so different from the companions that we've had in the new series- she's independant and fierce. She doesn't fall in love with the Doctor (just occasionally wants to bang him), and she's stubborn and amazing.
And the stories- the stories make my heart happy. There's been such a sense of magic and fairy tales to this series, and it's been wonderful for me. The music is toned down compared to previous series, it's visually never looked better, and I just wish that all of the new series had been like this, as much as I enjoy it as is.
Also- Vincent and the Doctor far exceeded any expectations I had. It is without a doubt one of my favorite episodes of Who.
