Of course I'd tag along! I'm a stalker of yours, remember? XD
To be honest, I've tried to write a few fanfic before, but they're so lame that I either couldn't finish them or would rather kill myself than posting them. What do you usually do before starting a fic?
Durian perfume?! Sorry hun, but I have to say you're weird! XD I remember once my mom was *stealthily* eating durian in the living room. I shrieked and ran away immediately when I walked out of my room and smelt it... Chocolate ice cream is my all-time favorite! I'm not crazy about green tea flavor, but I found that green tea ice cream is actually pretty yummy. You should definitely try some when you have the chance to go to Japan.
Actually I don't listen to many Taiwanese pop songs or watch tdramas. I prefer western pop/rock. Not a patriot in this aspect XD Do you listen to Taiwanese songs sometimes?
3rd year in college? Sweet! My 3rd year is the best moment of my college life, heehee. So are you a finance major if you don't mind me asking this question? I am a translator, and yeah I translate Chinese to English and sometimes English to Chinese.

I am totally weird in that aspect, my friends make fun of me all the time!
Hmm, before starting a fic? I usually try to get a scene inside my head that I want to convey. From there, I try to think about what might've happened before and/or after that scene. That's probably why I'm pretty horrible with complicated or complex plots, I can't plan that far ahead or backwards XD The most important thing is starting with a prompt or whatever that can get me going. Actually, for this story (shades of you), the first part if wrote was when Donghae left the next day after staying the night! I often write out of order and sort things as I see fit. Pfft, look at me ramble now~
Have you been to Japan?? I'm jealous. XD How did you like it? I heard Tokyo is now considered the most expensive city to live in, I think I'd go broke staying in Japan even for a little! I was born in Vietnam so I've visited a few times, pity I didn't get to visit other parts of Asia while I was there. Have you traveled much?
When I was younger, I was really into cpop/dramas (well, hk dramas mostly) and then a tsongs/idol dramas XD I remember being a HUGE fan when Meteor Garden first came out and I had a bunch of F4 Pepsi posters on my wall! I even had my friend who was visiting bring back F4 pepsi bottles for me XDD I loved Jay Chou too. At some point, I moved onto kpop and Epik High and Nell and suju and I think I've been trapped ever since, ha. Ohh, western pop/rock? Any faves? I switch between kpop and western music nowadays~
Nah, I'm not a finance major, it is kind of odd that I ended up with that job XD I love the people so I don't mind. I'm a communciations major~ Ah, gotcha, well your English is excellent (I can't exactly say that about my Vietnamese, sadly, I need to practice more). When did you start learning?

Well I enjoyed your "ramble" a lot! It gives me some ideas as to how to start a fic. It's interesting, considering that the first scene you wrote for Shades of You is in the middle part of the story. Sometimes random thoughts came across my mind (just like this prompt), but I simply didn't know how to elaborate them into a complete story. Maybe I should just try to write them down and see how things go from here.
I kinda promised myself to visit another country each year when I started working. Please don't feel jealous though, because that left a dent in my bank account. XD I went on a 2-week backpacking trip to Kyoto and Osaka in Japan a couple of years ago. They're amazingly beautiful and completely different from Tokyo with ancient temples and a much more leisurely pace of life. My money-saving tips are to choose safe and cheap hostels over luxury hotels since we'd spend most of our days outside the hotel rooms anyway and to do some research and visit visitor centers frequently to get useful information like tour packages and unlimited pass, which really save a lot. See, I'm the one who is rambling now! XD
Meteor Garden... I lived quite an isolated life when it became very popular in Taiwan. When someone told me about F4, I was like, huh? Is it some kind of car racing? LOL I've always liked to listen to western pop/rock since I was a kid. U2 and Linkin Park are my favorites. I started to grow interest in jpop at high school. I wasn't familiar with kpop until I watched Love Letter on TV. Now I'm totally addicted to Suju (particularly Kyuhyun's voice), haha.
As for my English, thank you! But I have to say I went through hell to learn this language. I started to study this language around 5th grade, but I was not even fluent until a few years ago. The process was painful, but I'm glad that my hard work paid off because I've got to find a job for that and read so many well-written stories in English. I'm still picking up new words from your fic, haha. That makes you one of my teachers! =D
So are you of Vietnamese origin? I love Vietnamese noodles!
