Mom's been hogging the camera because we've had a foster puppy with us, so it's been picture crazy. I think my eyes are still recovering from the flash...
Who besides me was ridiculously irritated by the whole Kanye West thing at the VMA Awards?! He was so out of line. I didn't find out what exactly he said, but just the fact that he got up in front of all those people and put Taylor down like that pisses me off. Kudos to Beyonce for being such a classy lady and even more kudos to Taylor for handling the situation BEAUTIFULLY! She took it all in stride and dealt with the situation with impeccable grace. So proud of her! I heard some audio on Kicks the other day of her reaction right after it happened and she said, 'I saw Kanye and I was so excited. And then...I wasn't really excited anymore."
Second, along the same strain, the President's comment about Kanye...off the record... Exactly. It was a statement that was made off the record, so why the hell is everyone getting up-in-arms about it??? I mean, I'll be honest. I'm not an Obama fan. But I have to agree with his statement that Kanye's a jackass. Everyone in America was thinking the same thing, so why should they get upset. I agree with Dallas on Kicks that the statement really humanized the President. Another thing, as soon as President Obama started talking about Kanye, they should have warned him that the mike was on. That says to me that they have no respect for this man.
I think everyone just needs to leave all of these people alone. They are entitled to their own opinions and just because they voice a disagreement about certain people doesn't make them bad people.
