NOT riding
Yeah so...I totally didn't ride Sam today...
*cough*
Basically today is the last day of a week long school holiday and my friends and I were planning to go out together but some of them hadn't done all their work so we re-scheduled.
So a couple of my other friends and I decided to go out for lunch and then go to the park (where Sam happens to be kept) to chill and have some fun.
Then I tell my mum that the big group thing got canceled and she goes "Oh...well you can have a ride today then if you want."
Now, I'd already organised to go out with my friends and I didn't want to blow them off but, I knew it could be a month before I see Sam again and didn't want to miss my chance.
My friends said they were cool with coming to see me ride for a little while so that was sorted.
I texted V to let her know I was going to be down the field today and she said maybe I should ask for a different day to ride on so that I could have today with my friends and a proper ride on Sam.
That's when I got the idea.
We were going to go to the field anyway (kind of). So why not ask my mum for a different day and go and see Sam anyway?
Well, that's what I did.

Grooming in my secretly smuggled from the house change of clothes haha.
I just hopped on bareback so that I wouldn't be too long as my friend doesn't ride/interact with horses much (though she loves animals and had a good time considering :) she even unpicked one of Sam's feet.)
I have also realised it is impossible for me to look good when riding...
Trotting :)
His trot is hard enough to sit with a saddle, my thighs are gonna hurt tomorrow...
I like the shape of his neck in this :)

See, when cantering bareback I'm having such a good time I forget about the transition back to trot and how much it's going to suck.
