...prisoners,scarves and...

My third day into the Happy meme. A new scarf and a movie made me happy today. Curious? Follow me...

I've finally found THE scarf! I'd been looking for a silky scarf for ages. I have tons of woollen scarves for the winter, but I wanted something I could wear in the spring as well. You know, when there's that fresh breeze that makes you happy, but also a little sore throat-y and you don't have a scarf? That really irritated me. Moreover, this kind of scarves are quite fashionable. And finally, today I've found it. It's a great  silky scarf.  The colour is something between a bright and shiny pine green and teal... more or less like THIS.

Then I went to the movies with a friend from Uni. We watched a new Italian movie called "Tutta colpa di Giuda" (which translated sounds " All Judah's fault" more or less...). The director, Davide Ferrario, is considered an indie director and has directed some really good movies like "Dopo mezzanotte" (After midnight). He's drawn from his own experience as a theatre director in prisons and all the prisoners in the movie are real ones so the movie is a mixture of reality and fiction. The protagonist is a young director who starts working in a penitentiary leading a theatre lab for some of the prisoners. The problem is that the chaplain of the prison wants her to direct a version of the Passion with the prisoners, but she's an atheist. So she starts reading the Gospels for the first time and turns a traditional representation into an experimental work based on sacrifice and liberty with the help of the prisoners, more than willing to sing and dance. Oh, the title refers to the fact that nobody(obviously) wants to be Judah in this sort of musical. I won't tell you how it ends, but I can tell you I really enjoyed this movie. Not only from a technical pov (the movements of the camera were amazing and the mix of reality and fiction was a great experiment), but also because it made me laugh a lot and, at the same time, it made me think about those people in jail and the life they live.
I really suggest it. It's quite unlikely that it will be exported if not in some indie festival, but if you ever get the chance to watch it, just know it's a really great movie.
