I surprised myself...
Last night I wrote my response to Challenge #51 over at 30minutefics It's probably the darkest piece of work I've done in a while, but that *was* what I was aiming for! ;)
I happen to enjoy new and different portrayals of Narcissa, as her character fascinates me... Why did she marry Lucius when it's apparent that he deals heavily in the dark? Is she a dark-witch herself? Did she marry him for his money and status? Was it an arranged marriage? And *especially*: Has she ever loved him?
If she did, was he different towards her than the other characters he deals with in canon, or is there something more sinister hiding behind their picture-perfect life? Or perhaps their life together has *never* been perfect?
There is so much unsaid about Narcissa that it leaves plenty of room for writers to stretch their wings...
I'm afraid that I was a bit evil to her in this latest ficlet, lol. Without further ado, Silent Screams
