002 Lines, Lines, Lines

So starting as they say, is always hard. They tell you to just do it, go for it and not be scared of the white page. Know what you want to draw.

They say there are several ways that you can hold your pen. The different way to hold the pen will change the way your lines look, how much detail you draw. I'm not listing them all here because I have decided for myself that it's mostly bogus. Or rather, the detailed describtions of how to hold the pen are. Because everyone holds a pen differently and I for one couldn't even reach my fingers and hold my arm that way without having a cramp.

So I decided to experiment my own way. Holding the pen close to the tip gives more details. If you grip your pen in the middle or closer to the back you will get broader bigger strokes. Paint from the elbow, the shoulder or the hand and see how the lines you make change.

I have drawn many many lines the past few days ;) And I'm getting better at it and have more control and a more even stroke. I also tried using a cutter instead of a sharpener, to sharpen the pen, because the individual angles will change the strokes.
