So I've been waiting on the hyped up release for the DLC: Return to Ostagar for Dragon Age: Origins. It was supposed to be released on the 5th of this month, but on the eve of that date it was pulled because of unforeseen problems. Then there was the leak on Xbox 360 of which now some people have RtO and played through it before the leak was stopped.
Personally, I don't really mind waiting. But I do find Bioware's responses to this situation highly questionable and irresponsible to their consumers. Seriously, during the leak they did this whole, "Now you have it, wait...actually you don't, but you will tomorrow" scenario. Then, when it was tomorrow, they had this post saying there were more problems and it was delayed yet again. And they only say this for the 360 system, no mention of other platforms when the day before they said it would be out soon for PC. I believe they should have just said there are problems and that RtO would be out soon, but exactly when has not been determined. You can't blame me for anticipating and checking and then being disappointed when they were the ones to give exact time frames only to fail at meeting it. If they had doubts, they should have just said they don't know when.
Plus, there's the fact that I spent money and bought nothing. I bought the points from Bioware and they have my money, but I have no product. What, am I just going to give them my money? The only reason I spent it was to get the DLC that they delayed right before the official release date. I don't care to hear that I still have the points and my money isn't really spent. That's what they want to you to think. Realistically, I wouldn't just buy points to have it sit there. I would buy points to buy the DLC right away. So for all intents and purposes, my money is spent and I got nothing for it and there has been no news as to whether that will change.
