Shou Min was telling Keefe and I about the birthday celebrations they had today for Peng Hui. Wow, I'm really quite sorry I wasn't there. Or that I couldn't join them for dinner. School. Argh!!! But I felt really touched too to know that he was so overwhelmed by their surprise and effort (Huiling designed the birthday card! From scratch! Not some Hallmark gift!) that "he had to try very hard not to let himself cry". Couldn't help but get a bit misty-eyed myself too. Reminded me a bit about Caryn too. We gave her a mock birthday cake of a candle plunged into ice-cream for her birthday in j1. Because she mentioned a few days before that people often forget her birthday and we wanted to do something about it. She was really touched and cried when we presented her the 'cake'. It's one of the good memories that make you feel more positive about yourself as a person for being a little selfless now and then, and yet another wondeful souvenir of the times we had as 28/04!

I think our group's been getting along pretty well, and I'm really glad about that. I've been hanging arounda NYF all these while because the people I met in my batch were awesome, and eChoy really inspired me a lot. I hope that beyond the social activism they gain out of this, they'll finish this year's programme feeling like they've met some of their favourite and admired people here, and made lasting friendships (=

I think I've really got to unlearn my FTB facilitation training stuff and loosen up more haha. And damn grateful to Shou Min lah! He's a great facilitation partner *_*
