That is something I can say about JiB 1, too. It was so awesome, so personal. The actors spent their evenings with us at the bar (well, Richard and Jim did, as well as Jason and Steve) and were all touchy feely! ^^ It was expensive as hell, but it was worth it.
But seeing this years increase in the prices (and I don't want to think about JiB 3!) just took my breath away. I mean, just look at the damn M&Gs alone! that's an increase of 100%! What other item can say the same??? And I don't remember the prices for the Ops or the other special events like the Roman Holiday, but they were all much more expensive than in the first year.
And as friendly as the people might be there ... I'm not a millionaire, I can't afford all of this plus Hotel, plus flight, plus food. But I think the main reason is that they increased their prices and said that the actors were so much more expensive, but for example RE still manage to keep most of their prices low.
Of course, I don't wanna praise them in any way, for they ARE chaotic and a lot goes wrong, but it wasn't that bad at A5. I think all runners have their advantages and disadvantages ... and lets be honest, I would pay it again and again for Richard :P
