Till I can

For past two days all my attempts to post have been foiled by power outages, so this I need to hurry with this before something happens again.

We had very strong winds for past two days - up to 100 km/h. One person dead, a lot of property destroyed and a lot of power outages. It was however very warm - around +6. Now the wind has quieted down a bit but it has gotten colder and started to snow.

I'm still preparing for the seminar. Hard to use Power Point without power. Good I'm using laptop - no problem with saving my hard work.

To get away from depressing stuff here is some things that made me feel better:

Hologram of prince Charles spoke at the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi. If you are not going to see any of the place you are visiting anyway then why use a plane at all - holographise yourself instead.

A girl's from Australia blood type has changed after liver transplant and here to. She is healthy and no longer needs immuno-suppressants.

Story of a Wojtek, bear who fought in WWII with the Polish Second Army Corps, under the command of Gen. Władysław Anders. He was helping at the battle of Monte Cassino by transporting ammunition. He later settled down in Edinburgh Zoo. There are several memorial plaques in his memory and proposition to erect a memorial in Edinburgh.
