Well defined preferences

I decide it's time to change something. New Year is coming but I will be too busy then so this is part of my cleaning up before I leave. I decided to get a new theme. I've been thinking about updating it lately as it's started to look old. I usually have one for years (this is only my 3rd) so this is an important decision and I'm going to give myself few days to see how this one's working. I have some doubts about the visibility of the navigation links. There is another theme I like too so I may decide to switch.

I was prompted to update the looks because I like the new editor. It's looks nice, gives me more space and has all the convenient editing options. It's easy to use and it doesn't keep crashing like the new deviantArt submission page. I like how it works and how it looks and I switched to it. When I get switched back to the old one automatically from time to time I get this weird feeling. It looks so outdated with it's small text input. It's almost like looking at geocities. It also made me realise how long I haven't change the theme and how ridiculously narrow it was.

I liked my old theme for it's all the customisation options it gave me. It let the user fiddle with a lot of settings and I like that (probably because it was made by lj). I also like blue colour. This is probably why I kept it for so long. I admit I miss it a little already but you know - new is always hard to get used to at first. But as I said I may keep looking and in the end just go for the updated version of Minimalism. Because when I go searching for something I like I keep choosing the same things - even after all these years one of the themes I picked was updated version of my first one.
