Dressing up
io9 has a gallery of cosplay costumes from the New York ComicCon. I especially like the obscure characters gallery. I love Inspector Gadget and Ruby Rhod. The female Spider Jerusalem looks great but I think the Slave Leia guy takes the cake.
Speaking of genderswaped cosplay - blastr has a whole gallery for that one. I've never before found Loki costume appealing.
