The Passion of the Christ was a great film. I was sobbing through most of it. The theatre was packed about half an hour before the movie started. When Candice and I were buying tickets, they had signs posted up saying 'Passion of the Christ tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis'. The lady next to me offered me some well-needed Kleenex.
I stayed last night at Candice's, too; I'm here now. Her cousin came over last night and the three of us watched School of Rock. I actually enjoyed that more than I thought I would. Then we picked up her boyfriend and the four of us semi-watched Cold Creek Manor while playing card games and doing card tricks.
The solo and ensemble festival yesterday went okay. Zack, the little shithead, didn't show up. He was playing the second alto saxophone part in our quartet, too. Our band director was hella mad. Candice and I were rooting for Zack to get kicked out of band for this stunt. We ended up grabbing Candice at the last minute and having her play Zack's part. It actually went well. Our judge said we were pretty good, even with a newbie player who had never played with us before. My solo went all right, too, but I could've been better. I should have practiced that more. The rest of the quartet sat in on my solo; they said I played well, thankfully.
The car that died on me on the way home from UK is back home and running. There are a few minor parts that have to be fixed on it, but I did not kill it permanently. My dad's got kind of a running joke with me now about my propensity for destroying vehicles. First, the car that died on me and my friends while trying to get to a theater; that one no longer even starts. Then, the car that died on the way home from UK; it finally runs again. Sigh.
