Also, I have to say that my friend appreciates your icon. She's so sad that DBSK is currently in a Musical Rut. And I'm sad that they are in Legal Limbo, although that was last I heard about a year ago. ):

*Escapes piles of school work to comment* Oh, let us all grieve together! I don't know why, but I'm taking the break up of TVXQ harder than any other band break up I've gone through. Could be because it feels like a family is breaking up. =(

Seem so. 'Cuz there is like still TVXQ but they are le smaller and also just angst in their songs. ): What's their status now, other than mini-TVXQ?

There's JYJ, which can't even compete with TVXQ when it comes to group names that consist solely of letters. The name was supposed to be temporary, but then the lawsuit went and exploded. I think they're pretty good, tho. I love "W," "Empty," and "Be My Girl."

Homin (or TVXQ 2.0 as I call em) are back in the game to. They made their comeback last month. It was decent, but nothing like their past stuff. My fav song was "She." I try and avoid the Homin vs. JYJ battles. Just too sad.

So I haven't really been paying attention to them... Aka I need an update on the names and what exactly they mean. My friend has been paying attention but then we don't really talk anymore...

Well, I'd love to catch you up! When Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu left, they joined another management company under the name JYJ (for Jae, Yoochun and Junsu...not the most creative name but then again, I speak English. Maybe it's more exotic in Korean). They've released three albums since: "The..." (which was in Japanese), "The Beginning" (which was in ENGLISH! Like all of it. Their English was adorably awkward), and "Their Rooms: Music Essay" (which was in Korean). SM got them blocked from network TV and all the music shows, so they've had a hard time getting promoted. They did a world tour (including three shows in the U.S.) and are preparing for another tour with four stops in the U.S. and one in Canada (that may be a first!). The S. Korean court decided in their favor and their contract with SM is void. SM is (of course) appealing the decision. (Say what you want about SM, but the fact that SO MANY artists leave their company on such bad terms makes me wonder just what they do to them.) I have my own theory that Jaejoong is ( ... )
