This has been a wrenching chapter to work on - there's a lot of upsetting stuff in there. Thanks to everyone who's stayed with us! Book Three is underway!
It was so much fun discussing this with friends and fans at the Book One launch at Orbital Comics before Christmas. John and Nora of Soaring Penguin, my publishers, did so much to make it a wonderful party, and all the staff at Orbital were a blast to work with.
