a SEMISONIC post!!!!

That's right, Lenny is here to post something that is practically sonic in nature.   She actually meant to post this back at the beginning of the month, when it would have been the MOST profound, but this being the end of January, it will still make sense.  She was reminded of this post again last night while driving around with Emily.  The song that was the inspiration of it all came on the radio.  They cranked it, as is their want,  and sang along.  Here are some of the more poignant lyrics:

"Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end."

Obviously, a New Year begins because last New Year's year has just ended.  Just like a new month begins only because last month, which had been the new month up until then, ended.  Also, new phases in life happen only because the old faces pass away.

"You don't have to go home but you can't stay here."

This is what my life is going to tell me in June (oops!  Lenny didn't mean to use first person!)  Ellen's life as she currently knows it will be over when this job is over and the government kicks her out of her cozy Krimmer house deep in the heart of the national park.  Her job will be over.  She certainly could move home if she wants to, but she doesn't have to, either.  she just can't stay.  She has to move on.

lots of time change is for the best, we just don't want to actually get going on pursuing that change.  And so life gives us a kick in the pants, like ending our jobs, or our education, or our summer, whatever it may be, so that we're forced to look for something new to do.  And although one of my life mantra's back in the day was that I fear and loathe change, I actually recognize that every change I go through is good for me.  sometimes the change is inherently good for Ellen (stay in third person, Lenny!)  but sometimes the change isn't so good in and of itself, but purposefully (she was going to say "luckily" here, but it's not luck at all)  God is sovereign and can make good out of anything.
 phew!

Whoops, Lenny went on a deep tangent about change there!  She meant for this to be a singalong, somewhat SONIC post!!!
