(I started making this up when I had the flu... so sadly most of it is now lost, let's see what I can recollect)
Here's to the year two thousand and eight
The end is near, it's getting late
So now's the time to think back and reflect
Display some pride and show some respect
In so many ways it was a good year
Taught me a lot, and gave me some cheer
It started waayy back at a steamy reunion
Where we enjoyed some true Navie communion
One of heart and one of mind--
Knit together for all time!
And then I went back to the park to work
Lived with a roomie with a lot of quirks
We had a lot of fun that winter
Hiking, sledding, avoiding splinters
And then came spring--that cold and muddy mess
In Cleveland I like it even less
But down in CHARLOTTE it's not so bad
I went there in March, stayed there a tad
See, I had to learn all about fundraising
For my trip to where horses go grazing
End of part one.
