I"M SAILING AWAY!
I went to the Styx concert last night at Hard Rock Cafe and had a blast! It was exactly what I needed this week! My boyfriend and I got carded. I think it was because we were the youngest looking people there. There was a woman who looked like my mother. Her daughter was there following her around rolling her eyes at her all night. Her mom was singing along to every song and had her hands up in the air cheering. There was also a girl who could've been an extra for the movie "The Banger Sisters". THe cream of the crop was the 80's couple from Hell. He had a tank top on that said "I'm not 40, I'm 18 with 22 years experience"-COOL! She had on some low cut dress with hugh bleach blond hair. Oh and the girl with the acid washed jean skirt was something else too. I'm not sure if they were in "costume" for th concert or if they actually dress that way and were glad to be back in their element.
On the way home we saw some guys with their guitars and stuff waiting on the Marta train. I noticed one of them had a cello and so I started yelling " I LOVE YO-YO MA!!". I asked him once we got on the train if he could play Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and he said no. My boyfriend wanted him to play some Godspeed..he said no. But bless his heart he did get his cello out and play some nice classical music for all of the train riders. It was very nice. Some Mullet Head was asking him is he was playing some theme song from some TV show. He had no clue what was going on...the Mullet Head guy that is. It was quite entertaining. I took a picture of Evan-cellist on my phone but I must've done something wrong because the picture is not on there. I guess I forgot to save it....way to go blondie!
After we got off Marta we started walking home and decided to stop and lay down on the grass in front of the Federal Reserve. I tried to make Grass Angels but it didn't work. I think all I accomplished was getting grass stains on my boyfriends shirt that I was wearing. On the whole the evening was quite a success. It really helped me forget about work for a while.
I'm going to work tonight at the animal hospital again. hopefully I will pick some more stuff up that I've forgotten. I work again tomorrow until 1 pm and then the boys and I are off to the park. I've neglected them a lot this week and I wanted to get some R&R in with them.
My boyfriend and some friend's of mine are going to a Greek restaurant on Saturday night. It should be fun...Sunday I am off to the RV Show...YEE HAW! I really want a teardrop camper and I think they have them there for me to look at.
