Inception
I'm really glad I went to see it! Here's my vague, non-spoilerish, mini-review. Great visuals; decent, though not outstanding, acting; high stakes; cool concepts. I like the story-within-a-story conceit anyway so I'm somewhat biased. I feel like if I thought too hard about it, I could probably poke holes in some of the concepts, but the non-stop action did a great job of preventing me from thinking too hard.
There's one thing I noted lacking. The main protagonist had both an internal conflict (an unresolved issue from his past) and an external conflict (a challenging task to accomplish). I really wish the external conflict could have been made into something that would make me care passionately about the outcome. It would have also been nice to see more active-yet-realistic female characters in the ensemble cast besides the "girl genius" who can hold her own among men with much more experience and knowledge.
Still, it's full of really cool stuff and definitely worth seeing.
