Eclipse
The moon played dress-up last night, putting on an orange veil. It looked so small and round, even better through binoculars. I felt like I was on another planet, or was maybe seeing a new planet, or Mars coming closer for a look. Orange moon, white snow.
I thought of another time looking at the moon, in January of 2007. We were in Jamaica, looking at a full moon over the ocean, so bright and with so little light from the ground, that it made shadows. We did moon salutations and watched our shadows move on the sand.
