Back to real life
I think I am more or less recovered from Odyssey, though I haven't gotten as much writing done as I had hoped. I did do a complete rewrite of my short short, The True Story of How I Became Real, taking a slightly different approach. I really would like to get this thing in a form I consider final and submit it somewhere soon, but it is a difficult piece to judge because I want to keep it surreal without making it incomprehensible.
This weekend Stephan and I will be attending Mythcon in Norman, Oklahoma. Lois McMaster Bujold is the guest of honor and I am really looking forward to meeting her! I will be reading an excerpt from my novel on Sunday. Now I just need to decide what to read and subject it to another round of Odyssey-informed edits.
