Hi Vy,
You might want to take a look at Nathan Ballingrud's "Monsters of Heaven" from INFERNO (several are recommended but most wouldn't qualify as sf or fantasy) and the some of the stories from The Del Rey Book of SF&F ;-). I'm not allowed to play favorites but several are already online there because they're recced....

From Inferno, I recommend "The Janus Tree" and "Apiary of White Bees"

Made my SFWA reccs already.

They're both terrific stories, but I feel weird about reccing stories.
What I will do, is note the stories with recs about two weeks before the anthology and its stories are ineligible. INFERNO was published in December so it still has a few months to go.
