i came back from class today, my roommate was studying and cooking something, and as my eyes passed over the microwave i had to do a double take.

Didnt you know? Microwaved teddy bears are a delicacy in isolated parts of Canada.

as someone who has put books i'm allergic to in the freezer to kill dust mites, and sponges in the microwave to kill germs, I can almost see why she might do this.

that's hilarious. did it work? i've always been scared of sponges but i never really thought of microwaving them.

and it turns out the teddybear was a heating pad but i didn't initially know this and i didn't ask. it was kindof better without the explanation.

I kind of wish I didn't hear that explanation. The freezer to kill dustmites definately works.
I think the microwave thing works as long as the sponge is wet enough, bc its just like boiling water in the microwave, its just within a sponge.
