I have decided I must bake this weekend. Baking always makes me feel good and after the stupid problems I've had with this project this week I really  just need to do some relaxing. I'm hoping homework won't be a huge drag for me like last weekend but since I have no plans for Friday night I may just work on anything that needs doing then. If I can

LOL I was thinking of being a bit more creative than that but we shall see. There shall definitely be a pie baked as I have yet to use the pie pan Andrew bought for me this summer.

Well, there is a bunch of apple pie filling down in the basement, if you are interested.

The majority of the world makes primarily meat pies. It's not that unusual. :P Just don't do a lame shepherds pie...bleh

LOL actually when I was typing that I was thinking of Sweeney Todd! :D But no I don't think I shall make THAT kind of meat pie. Do you have any suggestions for recipes besides your guiness pie?

Hmmm but which one to make? :D I just didn't know if you knew of any good other recipes that you actually had tried. I'd hate to make Andrew & I a yucky dinner.

Lame? But they are so tasty.

But then, I do have a thing for hearty food (large chunks of beef, potatoes, stews and so on). So, maybe I'm a little bit bias.

Its just that anytime I mention "meat pie" to friends here in america, thats what they think of.

LOL see to me shepards pie has no crust so isn't really a 'pie' so I wouldn't think of that when someone mentions a meat pie. Of course that's because my mom always called this one dish we had shepards pie. I think maybe it basically is just no crust.

Yeah I don't think of it as a pie actually that's just the name of the recipe. So when someone says shepards pie I generally don't think of it as a pie anyway.
