My company tries and fails yet again
My company really does try very hard to ensure careful coverage of diverse events. But they always seem to get their facts just a little bit off. Recently I know they had a GLBT story and while it was a good story there was one fact that was a little off, I don't remember the fact now just I recall there was a minor uproar about it in our group. Now today the company has a story on our intranet about the fall & winter holidays of different cultural/religous groups. To my delight they covered Winter Solstice/Yule. Unfortunately they apparently decided that ALL pagans celebrate Yule as the rebirth of the sun from the Goddess. I sent them a message stating they should qualify their statement and say MANY pagans. Sure I celebrate the return of the sun but it's not because any of the goddesses in my pantheon gave birth to it. :D
