Rediscover Poetry

Oct 25, 2006 18:36

I got a review on a really old account where I posted my poetry on fictionpress.com. And I went to read the poem that they'd reviewed and it was really good. Twas quite amazing and made my day. So I may try my hand at poetry again. Maybe I can win a scholarship or something. Here is the poem. (C) MOI.

-- Wine and Berries --

There is a sweet taste in my mouth

it tastes of wine and berries,

I can not find the words to speak

the sweet pain that they carry,

A wordless sound to hide the break

I know is in your voice,

It carries softly whispered things

best left to pasts of choice,

A cooling wind your breath expelled

a sense uncalled, proclaimed,

A world within you that is silence

a touch to be untamed,

A wild thing to brush like leaves

and rustle things unseen,

So brush across a golden carpet

in grasses where I've been.
