Thought I Died? Well You Were Wrong!

Anyhoo...

I'm in Jersey and trying to get acustomed to things here.  It's definately a lot different than home, but I can't say that I ever expected it to be the same either.  I'm just finding it harder to adjust than I thought I would, I guess.  I mean, I'll get used to things, I'm sure.  I'm just not sure it's going to happen anytime in the next 6 mo - 1 year.  :S

I've taken to going to work with Anthony lately (everybody there is cool with it) just because I NEED to get out of the house.  I rarely get out lately because this isn't the kind of place where you can just decide to go out for a walk or go across the street to the park.  The park is home to all kinds of trouble (ie gangs and drug dealers).  However, once it gets cold they'll clear out.  At least there I can walk around, walk down to Borders and roam the bookshelves, and chat with really nice people while I'm at it.

Right now I'm just waiting to hear back about a few job applications.  Thus far I've got applications in at Borders (bookstore)  Best Buy, and Home Depot.  Yeah, I know, Home Depot?  The crazy part is I wouldnt really mind working there.  I've met a bunch of the people there, and they're really great.  Now the waiting game to see if the higher ups think I might be remotely useful.

I have to say that I do miss home a lot.  I never really thought I'd miss people around home.  I mean, I knew I would, but not really this much.  Today when I was at work with Anthony "You had a bad day" came over the radio and it really made me miss Brenna and Tori.  I liked it when it would come on in the car and they'd sing along.  It was so cute how Bren seemed to know all the words.  I think I may have gotten just a bit teary eyed while listening to it.  (Yes, I've been one sad emotional mess lately, just ask Anthony :S)

Oh,  I need ideas for Bren's B-day.  Please help me out with that.

I'll update later on when I'm not so tired.  (I'm back from an 11 hr day at Home Depot learning how to make keys and fix locks, ect.  Not that I'm getting payed for it, but hey, it's better than being cooped up in a house for 11 hrs with my in-laws...)
