oh men, how i loathe thee.
awesome vacation. i had such a good time in maryland.
not only did i get to hang out with my cousins all the time, who are hilarious and whom i love, but i got to chat with my aunties, and go to the mall and batting cages and starbucks with my cousins.
my father, brother and I also took a trip to our old neighborhood, the one i grew up in. guys, it was like another dimension. Its like i have two lives. And i just revisited my old one. It was crazy. I tried to knock on the doors of my old neighbors, but they weren't home. it woulda been fun to see them again.
then after that, we went to visit the naval academy, which is where my father graduated from in 1983, and taught something like weaponry and something from 1997-2000. So it meant a lot for him to go back there. It was a really cool place, and my brother liked it too. My dad took us on a tour of the place, and he showed us the place where my parents met! It was a ballroom restaurant type deal called Bencroft Hall. Its crazy to think that my parents me, like, my own personal beginning started in that hall.
There is also SO MUCH history around that place. There are anchors off the naval battle ship that fought in the Spanish American War that are outlining the steps to the cathedral. There are also authentic stone cannnon balls that they found in Constantinople in 1453 that outline something else. Its so amazing. My dad was showing us all the buildings that he dormed in, and its so amazing that my father was a part of all that tradition and history.
alright well its late and i slept ridiculously sporadically in the last 24 hours. so i'm gonna hit the sack and yup.
oh man and WAYY too much stuff to think about regarding boys. there is such thing as too many love-interests. KILL ME NOW.
