If they be two, they are two so
As stiff twin compasses are two;
Thy soul, the fixed foot, makes no show
To move, but doth, if th'other do.
And though it in the center sit,
Yet when the other far doth roam,
It leans and hearkens after it,
And grows erect, as that comes home.
Such wilt thou be to me, who must,
Like th'other foot, obliquely run;
Thy firmness makes my circle just,
And makes me end where I begun.
So that whole "aiming for a good weekend to balance" totally did not happen. Alas, I have come to terms with the ups and downs and am just grateful I was not put to sleep this weekend like my cat. *moment of remembrance please* I have a midterm coming up tomorrow afternoon but I'm finding it so hard to read this stuff when my pile of books I plan on reading during Christmas break increased by three this week... and it's only Tuesday. Ugh! The temptation! I've already read the first few pages of Inside Inside when it came in the mail because I couldn't resist. So far my having taken a few film history courses spreads a new light on this book. They've become useful, thankfully.
Oh, and I want the damp dome that has covered the city to go away.
And Christmas music is officially on my mp3 player. :)
