Discovering LJ
They tell me communities are what LJ is all about. I'm a writer, albeit an out-of-practice one, after nearly a year of distraction and writer's block and too much Real Life. So I searched LJ for creative writing communites and got over 350 hits. I didn't have time to look into them all, so it was a case of potluck, take a shot, dive in ... I picked one that is moderated, has application criteria to rule out the Really Bad Writers, and which seems to have been somewhat active recently. We'll see how it pans out!
