No wonder I ended up like this
Gosh, three whole thoughts in one evening! (I really need to get out more.) This one's work related.
After only a week I think the new job could easily take over my life - there is SO much social shit going on and it's absolutely fantastic. Next week one of my teams has blagged tickets for the Friday Night Project with Christian Slater - god I love that man - and obviously I have to go because otherwise how will he have the chance to propose to me?
I hadn't really thought about it beforehand but if I take the social side of the last job and multiply it by the increased size of the new agency I should probably have expected something on these lines.
Anyway I think I can feel another rollerdisco trip coming on - as many of you excellent people will I'm sure agree you can't REALLY know anyone til you've rollerdiscoed with them. (Ideally while pissed, of course.)
By the way, in case you're wondering why I'm online on a Friday night, it's very simple and rather poignant. I came round to my parents' house for dinner only to find that they'd decided to go out instead, and had left me in their place a microwave meal, a bottle of wine and some shiny earrings. Woe, woe is me, the unloved, forgotten latchkey child.
(The earrings rock, though.)
