Love, in other words
I don't think I have ever been this happy or fulfilled in so long. After months of rocky planning (not to mention a billion last-minute preparations), AC and I, along with the help of our incredibly efficient committees and heads, were able to produce INFLUENCE: do the D-A-N-C-E, 1 2 3 4 LIFE.
After months of training, training like we've never had in the history of AC Dance Troupe, we performed on the evening of January 24, 2009 with love in our hearts, for two things: dance and each other. While in the middle of the group prayer, Inez started to cry. We all stopped ourselves and scolded each other, saying, "No, let's be happy! It's not our last dance!" but then I started to tear up and eventually, everyone was. I guess we looked pretty funny holding hands in a circle where everybody had their eyes cast to the ceiling, trying to hold the tears back in. But we all knew exactly why we were so emotional. I guess it's because after months of hard work, we eventually got to know each other really well and enjoyed every minute of it.
I think this year in ACDT for me could be the best. I improved in a genre I didn't even know I could do (not well, mind you) and gained so many friends. I learned how to be more patient and organized and accepting of things and all of these are just symbolisms of thanks to such an inspiring coach. Coach Vimi Rivera, you have done wonders for the troupe!
I guess you could say the night ended well. I was able to dance my heart out with people I love with me on stage and in the audience. I'd like to personally thank everybody for their support, for everyone who watched and cheered us on. I'd most especially like to thank the people who made this event possible:
- Jackie and Carla, who head the student council so well and dealt with us even though they had problems of their own
- Isay, Monika, Angela Pantangco, Issa and Bella: for their hard work and patience as the most important stage managers we've ever had
- Pep Squad, Hardcourt, Hyped, and Airforce: for committing to performing in Influence and working the crowd well
- Coach Vimi and his group, as well the surprise Dance X guests who wowed the audience
- The school, of course (sorry we trashed the Kinder)
- EVERYBODY WHO CAME TO SUPPORT, especially Pat O., Binky, Ai, Cheska and Ange who are truly supportive ACDT Alumnae
- AC Suico & AC Dance Troupe, without whom I could've done this and who I love with all my heart
- GOD... who really is good.

My night ended well with Alexi's surprise birthday party! Tita Alice, Maria and Sasa did a great job planning everything well and we had a fantastic kiddie party! I don't think I've laughed that hard in so long. I love great friends and great company! And happy 18th birthday to you, sexy Alexi :)
