Tonya, the horrible roommate, has been gone for almost 3 weeks now, which has been WONDERFULLLL! :D She's been in Milwaukee looking for a place to live with her boyfriend. According to a friend, her facebook says she found a place, is now officially living up there, and that she gave away her puppy to someone. Mason hasn't heard a word from her and all her shit is still in her room here, so who knows what's actually happening. I'm totally fine if she never comes back and we just have to clear out all her shit. Apparently, according to what her stripper friend told Mason, her puppy got Parvovirus and was at the vet about 2 weeks ago, though nobody's heard anything about that since it happened. Parvo is supposedly highly fatal unless caught early and even if you do catch it, I was told it's very expensive to treat. Considering Tonya never even had the money to take the dog in for a regular checkup the entire time she had her, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the puppy died and Tonya's just telling people she gave it away to save face. For the puppy's sake, though, I hope she was given to people who will actually care for her and give her the attention and training she needs. :(
In more puppy news, Mason and I have a new addition to the family.
The big puppy on the left is Vi, Mason's dog. The little lady on the right is Gypsy, and she now belongs to us. This picture was taken back around New Year's, but Gypsy isn't much bigger than that now. She's a year old, so she's pretty much fully grown and a mini-Vi, which is super cute. She belonged to Mason's ex, who got a job as a live-in nanny, but they wouldn't let her keep her dog, so Mason offered to take her. She's a mix of lab, staffordshire terrier and some smaller terrier. She's super energetic and affection, she keeps wanting to get under the covers with me. She's kind of the perfect size dog for me, small enough I can still pick up, but she has a surprisingly booming bark for such a little lady.
Our family now consists of these two ladies, my two boys, and Mason's best friend and his ladyfriend, who are now living with us as well. It's a nice balance and I rather like it a lot. :)
