Many cuts ahoy!
I'm just going to dump a bunch of pictures that I've taken and haven't bothered posting yet.
AAANYHOW, I guess to start off, I got the rats a new cage a while ago.
It is huge and monstrous to match how fat and monstrous they have gotten. <3 Also it smells better and is easier to clean than the other one.
Also, thought I'd post a picture of my workspace in my apartment.
This is really all the space that I have. What you are looking at is pretty much the entirety of the floorspace in my apartment. There's a tiny little tiled area off to the right where the 'kitchen' part is and then a little bitty hallway leading to the bathroom and the door out. Small apartment is smaaaaaaaaall.
Anyhow. On the 19th I went to a Christmas party at my friend Erin's place down here in Philly. Had lots of drinks and celebrated the quarter being over! I worked pretty much every day from then until Christmas. I headed home on Christmas Eve to have dinner with my family and spend the night at home.
Zee Tree! My mom effing loves Christmas to a point that I cannot comprehend. We get a real tree every year. These are probably only about 1/3 of all the ornaments she has, lol.
My presents! Everything I got: A new hoodie with little skulls on it, silver sparkly bra and underwear, a fuzzy stocking with a dead kitty skeleton on it, a new CD visor for my car, since the other one is practically falling off in my face, some lip gloss and eyeliner, Harley Davidson socks with skulls all over them, $50 for Hot Topic, $25 for WaWa and $100 for my next tattoo, some minty candies that say 'Sara's Sweets' on them, a grumpy little plastic sheep that poops brown jellybeans (I love my brother. He got me the dead cat stocking too. He told me earlier in the month that if I loved poop and dead things, I would love his present. I thought he was joking around), a bunch of little ornaments for my tree, pirate band-aids, a matching fleece pajama set, the Tinkerbell movie on DVD, bottlecaps, chocolate, gum and some shampoo and conditioner for when I'm at home.
Eesh! That was way more than I was expecting, I had gotten presents early this year (sewing machine and a new coat, plus a shopping spree at Victoria's Secret) so I really wasn't expecting much of anything under the tree this year. My family is awesome. :)
Also, my friend Fox got me the most ridiculous present that I WAS NOT EXPECTING. I had actually even forgot that I wanted it, I figured there was no way I'd ever get one:
The collector's edition of The Tales of Beedle the Bard. o_o
Image dump of the book commencing:
pfffffffffft this is so awesome, I'm afraid to read it because I don't want to mess it up! ;o;
Also, my gift to myself, a wig for Kallen, came in.
It's very soft and longer than I thought! I like it a lot, and it's the perfect color. It's lighter than it shows in this picture. Cosworx did much better this time around, I'm very happy with it and the shipping time.
Oh, here, have some kitties...
Bailey and Kirby, the best picture I could get of the two of them. Kirby always closes his eyes. :<
Bugabooooo <3<3<3
I actually managed to get a decent picture of Kirby!
I actually do have a third cat, Harley, but he's very antisocial and not nearly as cute as these two anyhow.
I had to work on the 26th at 11:30 AM so I left my house early in the morning and headed back here to work. After I got out, Jillian and I went back up to Bethlehem to drink all weekend! (or so it seemed)
Friday night, we all went out to the Tally Ho for karaoke night. WE SANG JOURNEY. Kind of obligatory at this point.

Saturday night I went out with my family. A friend of theirs turned 81. My mom got a little too smashed and I ended up driving her home, hehe. Sunday we went to Ripper's pub for bit, then to the Tally Ho again. I got into an 'argument' with a friend who insisted that his crotch-rocket rice-burning piece-of-plastic junk bike was somehow superior to me 1200cc chrome beast of a Harley and refused to drive home with him, lol. I aaactually ended up staying with someone who I've kind of had a crush on for quite a while now, but didn't think anything would have ever come of it. It was very nice to fall asleep with someone's arm around me, especially after how ronery I've been this past month. Despite technically having a boyfriend, it certainly didn't feel like it.
My camera died halfway through Friday night, so I only have pictures of that first night.
Momma, me and Angela!
Momma and Matty Higgs! <3
Fox hates having his picture taken. :3
AHAHA I love this picture!!
I'm beginning to think that one eye just doesn't open as much as the other one. :p
Monday I went snowboarding with Erin. I haven't had the chance to go snowboarding in about three years now, I think, and god damn did I miss it. I need to make a playlist for my ipod to take with me next time because I have not felt so amazing in a while. Or so worn out the next day. T-T Totally worth it though, and I can't wait to go again. Next paycheck I need to get my board waxed and tuned up.
Snowbunnies! ^^
I came back down here to work yesterday and I played persona 3 all night. I am determined to finish it before starting p4. >:|
As far as tonight... I've been invited to go out to quite a few places. Jillian wants me to go with her and a friend to a Finnigans for drinks and food. Robby invited me to go to God's Basement with him and some friends. Other friends invited me to Soul Night at the Barberry. Sam wanted me to go out to Pittsburgh to be with his friends. Of course, my momma wants me to come home and see her.
Honestly, after the year I've had, I just kind of want to spend it by myself, here with my pets. I don't particularly like this apartment, but I have a strange desire to just spend the night alone and reflect on the past 12 months and where they've taken me. There is someone in particular I'd like to call at midnight though. I don't have TV to know when the ball drops, though, but I'm going to try my best to see that they're the first person I talk to in the New Year.
I never seem to get a kiss at midnight, even when I do have someone to be with. :| It's one of the few silly little traditions I actually like.
Oh well. Goodbye, 2008. You're not the favorite year in my life, but I probably learned and grew more in this past year than any other in recent history and for that, this year will always be important to me.
Thank you all for being my friends and for reading this journal. Talk to you all next year. <3
