About time huh? Image heavy and ramblings ahoy!!! Too lazy to post everything, only pics I like dohoho
I was extremely nervous before the flight. There'd been that volcanic eruption on Iceland where I was supposed to change flights at, and because the trip was so long I was worried I'd somehow mess up with my medication equipment and end up in deep trouble. On the morning of the flight I was already considering faking illness or something to call of the trip, and when I was on the train heading downtown I almost puked.
I met up with Eva who'd agreed to come and see me off and I love her so deeply for that ahah <3 I felt instantly better having someone to talk to. We hung out at the airport for a while and it seemed the flight would leave about an hour late. At check-in they told me they could only send my luggage to Iceland because of some crisis handling or something so I'd have another check-in at Reykjavik. I was sort of nervous because the change time was 1 hour and we were already late, but I was assured that the other flight wouldn't leave without me
-but it did. People at Helsinki airport made a mistake and the plane had left because I wasn't checked all the way. Nobody knew where my luggage was, but I had emergency stuff in my hand luggage so that wasn't too bad... then I was told they couldn't re-route me because my passport wasn't valid in USA. I was stuck there for 2 days. OK I have to admit I sort of panicked when I heard THAT, but they gave me a lift to a hotel, a free room and 3 meals a day until my flight. I was like, uh free Iceland trip I guess so I was okay with it.
Random thoughts I had in the plane: The ocean looks dry, kind of like lizard's skin
The whole country looks like a mudcake(no trees), in the winter it must truly look like a pile of ice
View of my hotel room.
Icelandic looks like some sort of demonspeak lmao
On Wednesday I was too tired and stressed to go out anymore, so I stayed inside and watched British TV-channels(life of peter andre) and ate the dinner and went to bed. On Thursday the weather was cold and windy, so I had to cancel my great adventures. My bloodsugars kept dropping so I had to find a local supermarket to buy snacks. All the Lazytown merch was sort of creepy!
Today I shall go out and shoot the majestic Icelandic landscape wait what
I will go there again sometime and maybe I will actually get to see the country.
From Keflavik airport
The flight to Toronto was allright! When I arrived I was smiling because the place was so multicultural already ahah! Every personnel seemed to have a different ethnic background. You can tell you're from a small country when you pay attention to that I suppose! I had been told my phone would work but it didn't. I managed to call Cynthia from a payphone when nice Canadian ladies helped me out. Cynthia had managed to get lost GODDAMNIT you guysssss anyway eventually we got to Cynthia's place and I was dead but whatever LETS GET DRAWING
I slept in the house's basement and it was so nice and cool ahhh I slept so well my entire stay!
Anyway on Saturday we went to see alpacas with Elsie and Steph. Cynthia jad just gotten her drivers license and I have never experienced so many u-turns in my life oh my god... The place felt really homely! All the nature was pretty similar to Finland, too bad I didn't take any pictures of the drive. I was also introduced to Tim Horton's: a love story
Groomed alpacas look pretty stupid

The only one who was nice to us had some kind of brain trauma lol
There was also a big lake. Elsie, me, Steph SPOT THE CAUCASIAN
On Sunday was Anime North! We had to pick up some prints at Staples beforehand and Cynthia didn't trust my map-reading skills so we got there pretty late. We hung aroung the artist alley and I saw a lot of URL friends! They asked me not to post their pics online hurrr so have some random cosplay
