Laughter In The Rain - Neil Sedaka

I know it's a pretty old song, but oldies are the best! They have the most blatant lyrics and you just have to let yourself drown with the way they play their instruments. Oh yeah, I posted this because I just want to share one of my feel good songs. I hope you felt good listening to it because I sure did. :)

My dad's not only a movie buff. I realized he's also a music buff, though not the hobbyist type (music lovers please don't throw rotten tomatoes at me). He does play the guitar and we both listen to all kinds of music (except metal because his ears are too old for metal and I just love listening to symphonic metal). But the artists he normally listen to were Frank Sinatra, Pilita Corales (hope I spelled her surname right), the Carpenters, the Beatles (he's a huge fan of the Beatles, it's crazy), Garry Lewis and the Playboys (I like them, too) and Neil Sedaka. My sister and I grew up listening to the songs he listened to (because my mom wasn't that much of a music listener except for gospel and contemporary Christian songs) so we basically grew up singing the songs my father listens to. But that's not the point of this entry.

I've always loved this song. I heard it first when I was in elementary so it didn't mean so much to me until now. Someday, I'm going to sing this live. With you. Whoever you maybe.

/cheesy

Sometimes, it's so nice to succumb to the call of cheese. Most of the time, I'm quite scared to succumb to the call of cheese in fear of sounding too cheesy for my liking. :-|

But yea. I'll sing that song someday. With you. Whoever you maybe.
