There are six impossible things:

1. There is a drink that makes you shrink.
2. There are cakes that make you grow.
3. Animals can talk.
4. Cats can disappear.
5. There is a place called Wonderland.
6. I can slay the Jabberwocky.

Today, Joni, Jaymie and I watched Alice in Wonderland in 3D. SM The Block rocks. Watching 3D there costs Php.49.00 less than Tri Noma's (but I still love you Tri Noma) and it comes with a free popcorn! For today, I love you, Henry Sy!

I love everything about the movie. Yes, seriously everything. I felt the need to watch it because of Tim Burton and I wanted to see how he would depict Lewis Caroll's story. I love the background, set design, and character design because almost everything screams Tim Burton AND I LOVE IT! I love how Tim Burton made his version of the characters without compromising Lewis Caroll's characters. I also love the scene where Alice fell of the hole. When I saw her bounce off the bed, it felt like I was watching the cartoon version, except her fall was fast.

At first, it kind of bothered me how things started to look different from the original film. In my head I swore I knew she was able to go out of the door because the doorknob cried (as I recall). I even called Joni's attention when I saw that Alice had met almost all of the characters in the beginning of her journey in Wonderland. However, as the movie progressed, I realized that maybe, it wasn't really the film and story we all knew, but a sort of sequel to the cartoon. True enough, it was based on Caroll's Alice in Wonderland and Looking Through The Glass (where Alice was also part of the story). I like Alice in Wonderland the cartoon, and I like this version of Alice as well. :) Everything was hauntingly beautiful, even Anne Hathaway who played the role of the White Queen. And Twiddledum and Twiddledee were so cute.

Alice in Wonderland kind of showed something that I know most of us will be able to relate to. We're growing adults and by this time, I guess life has pretty much treated us justly that we lose touch of imagining. Sometimes, a little imagination wouldn't hurt. In fact, it helps us increase our creativity! 8D

This movie taught me something: It is okay to believe in impossible things. Why? Because nothing is impossible with God. :D

Have I gone mad? Probably not as mad as the hatter.

P.S. This movie kind of reminded me of Coraline.
