Happy Thanksgiving Day, everyone!

For my LJ friends who are not familiar with the United States tradition: Today is our annual Day of Thanksgiving, an official holiday where all citizens are encouraged to take the day off from work to share a feast with family and close friends and express thanks for the good things in life.  (The tradition is based on a legendary feast which supposedly took place in Massachusetts during the early American Colonial era.)

As for me: I am thankful that this past week is over -- I have been driven right around the bend by various personal, familial and professional issues... so much so that I was unable to find the time or energy to even post that I was going to have to use my first "Bye" this week in The Real LiveJournal Idol competition (therealljidol). I couldn't even think up a story idea that I really liked until late last evening, after the deadline.

That being said, let this post serve as a "Notice of Intent" that I still plan on writing the piece I came up with last night as a Home Game entry, probably over the coming weekend (Saturday and Sunday). If nothing else, the practice will help me "limber up" for next week...
