100 DAYS OF LJ -- DAY 73
The heat wave has returned -- Temperatures reached 93 F (34 C) today, with high humidity. I spent most of the day in air-conditioned comfort, but on my lunch break I walked 15 minutes in that heat to have lunch with some co-workers... and afterward I had to walk in that heat again to get back to work. Plus, this evening I had to walk around to do some much-needed shopping (had to pick up an important prescription, among other things)... and while the heat was no longer oppressive, it definitely was not pleasant either.
The heat is supposed to continue for at least the next 3 days, and quite likely for even longer. Not good.
Well, I'm in my apartment, my A/C is on... and I'm drinking plenty of water. All I can do to take care of myself.
