every day that goes by, i'm happier that i'm here. and more impressed with the other kids. it reminds me of cty, except that instead of suddenly realizing that everybody's smarter than you, you suddenly realize that everybody's more creatively brilliant than you. as much as i'm loving it, i'm starting to feel like maybe i'm too academic for this place. i feel selfish, i just sit around and suck up all the beautiful things that people throw at me, without really having anything to offer.
i need to get involved in theater. a few friends and i were messing around in the performing arts center today. one of the theaters is modeled after the globe. and being in it reminded me of how much i need to be a part of the whole theater process. i just love being in the space... i love the smell and the lights and the darkness and the stage and the dust and EVERYTHING. i'm getting all excited just thinking about it.
a final note: alternate registration blows ass.
