Right. Well. Caranthire found this half-dead bloke with bad injuries to his ribs, bruises, and a killer hangover. So she got me, we took him back here and I left him to rest. I come back in and he's GONE!

Looked to be like stuff hitting him from teh explosion. And booze. The ribs might have been the result of more flying debris or someone kicking him really bloody hard.
